EV Roadside

EV roadside assistance when you're stuck and the clock is running.

Running out of charge in an EV isn't like running out of gas. There's no gas can fix. You either get charge to the car or the car gets towed. We're the charge option. Our rescue fleet covers the full San Diego County freeway network — I-5, I-15, I-805, the 78, the 52, the 8, the 163 — plus every surface street between Oceanside and Chula Vista. Call dispatch, we roll.

Common questions

Why not just call AAA?

AAA will tow your EV — they generally won't charge it. Some AAA regions now partner with mobile charging companies in major metros, but San Diego County coverage is spotty. If you want the car charged on-site instead of loaded onto a flatbed, call us first. We also accept AAA reimbursement when your policy covers third-party roadside.

What does a typical rescue cost?

Dispatch is $149, which covers the roll and the first 15 minutes of charge. After that it's $1.80 per added mile of range. A typical rescue — enough charge to reach the nearest Supercharger — runs $149 to $225 total. We quote over the phone before we roll.

Can you rescue from a freeway shoulder safely?

Yes, with caveats. We deploy cones and a safety vest, position the rescue truck as a shield, and work from the passenger side whenever possible. If shoulder conditions aren't safe (narrow lane, blind curve, construction zone), we coordinate with CHP to move you to a safer spot before we charge.

How long does a rescue take start to finish?

From call to back on the road: 60 to 90 minutes in most of San Diego County. That's 25 to 45 minutes of drive time for us, 15 to 30 minutes of charging, and 5 minutes of setup and paperwork. East county (Julian, Borrego Springs, Alpine) takes longer — budget 2 hours.

What if charging alone won't fix my problem?

If the issue is mechanical (failed high-voltage battery module, drivetrain fault, collision damage) charging won't help. We diagnose on-site, document the fault, and coordinate a flatbed tow to the nearest authorized service center. We don't charge for the dispatch if we can't resolve the issue.
