Current Tesla Model Y books describe a lithium-ion low-voltage battery after the hood is open, and warn that Model Y cannot be used to jump-start another vehicle. Confirm that year’s book for other Tesla models. Charge Pro does not jump a Tesla or a gas car as a Charge Pro crew.
Why this page will not invent a donor script
The low-voltage system that wakes a Tesla is a separate path from the traction pack. Charge Pro does not inventory lead-acid versus lithium as a Tesla class donor fact, does not publish amp draws, DC-to-DC damage, warranty voids, or a NOTICE quote as Charge Pro work, and does not treat frunk jump posts as a way to charge another car.
The wires behind the tow-eye cover only release the hood latches. Tesla says they cannot charge the low-voltage battery and must be disconnected as soon as the hood unlatches.
Tesla roadside is requested in the Tesla app. Confirm coverage on Tesla’s support pages. This page will not inventory Tesla menu items. See risks of using a Tesla to jump start a gas car and can an EV jump-start a gas car.
If you want to help someone else
If their car is in a travel lane or another dangerous place, call 911. Charge Pro does not sell a portable jump pack and does not rank a ride as the safer CHP answer.
If your Tesla will not wake
Use that year’s Tesla book. Charge Pro does not certify a “12V Battery Needs Service” string. Tesla 12V battery jump is a matching start. Charge Pro does not jump the car as a Charge Pro crew. See how to jump-start a Tesla step-by-step.
Call (858) 400-4465. Charge Pro does not send a Charge Pro crew.
